We need to walk in Spirit as humans, not try to always to gratify the desires of the flesh!

 

May the God who gives endurance and encouragement give you a spirit of unity among yourselves as you follow Christ Jesus, so that with one heart and mouth you may glorify the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ.

We need to walk in Spirit as humans, not try to always to gratify the desires of the flesh! As humans we live too much for this world and the flesh. We make all about sex and materialism. God wants us to live in Spirit. He wants us to follow Jesus. He wants us to reflect, forgive, imitate, and love like Jesus! Not make it all about sex and the flesh. Life is so much more than this! I recall going out as a younger person in my 20's and 30's and beyond, the gay culture and bars have magazines published weekly, it is all selling sex, with images of the flesh, parties, bars, places for sex, life is not all about sex, and sometimes gays undercut themselves in making it all about sex. We also need Jesus in our lives, we need to live in Spirit and not make it all about the flesh. We all can be saved when we follow Jesus and try to live like Him! We need to turn from sin, turn from the flesh, and live in Spirit, putting God first, making Heaven our number one goal and priority! We all have this opportunity when we follow Jesus! Are you glorifying God? Or only living for the flesh?

  I love the mass readings today! The first reading is so beautiful how it explains how the Disciples got to the point to explain to all about Jesus, His life, trials, death, and resurrection. They were so dedicated to Him and in preaching and sharing the good news of Jesus Christ. The last part of this reading it said, "These are now his witnesses before the people. We ourselves are proclaiming this good news to you that what God promised our fathers he has brought to fulfillment for us, their children, by raising up Jesus, as it is written in the second psalm, You are my Son; this day I have begotten you." It is so clear here and in these readings that Jesus is the Messiah, He was born Jewish and it was foretold in Isaiah that He would come, Isaiah recounts His birth, life, death, and resurrection, it is so beautiful. I love Jesus!

I love Jesus! I was raised Catholic and always brought to church all my life following Jesus, trying to love like Him! I credit my parents for raising me Catholic and bringing me up to know Jesus! He is my Source, my Light, and my Savior! At this point in my life, I cannot think of anyone else I would want to follow! Many gay people are alienated from their faith because of the stigma of being gay. Many leave their faith or are left to feel they have to. But we don't! I wanted to write this blog to have gay people share their stories and know they can still love Jesus and follow their faith in Him! To love like Him! I recently had a dream about this website, I was told to create this page and share the love of Jesus with others and to also let gay people know, that Jesus loves them too. My dream was very clear about the name, and it was available here on the blogger. I have always felt like God is working in me to share the love of Jesus with others, so that is what I am doing here...
